Dirt Fest FAQs
Things are always a little different out here in West Texas and 2012 is no exception! There are lots of questions and We hope that we can answer the bulk of them here. If you still need some clarification please feel free to contact us at here at Desert Sports.
When is pre-registration open? Pre-registration is open as of 12/21/11!
Where do I pre-register? Visit bikereg.com until February 13, 2012 to get early bird discounts, or download a form here.![]()
How much will pre-registration be? $50 for a three day pass, $40 for two and $20 for one (but how could you ride for just one day??)
How much will registration at the event be? $25 for each single day, and on Wednesday and Thursday the three day pass will be available on site for $60.
Will you take credit cards? Yes. VISA, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Will there be tshirts available for sale at the event? Yes. A limited number of them for sure, but we are ordering shirts for this year. The best way to ensure that there is a shirt there waiting for you in your size is to pre-order one with your pre-registration.
Where can I register for the 2-day EPIC Option? The 2-day EPIC Option is a new feature ride included by the State Park folks. Check out the page for the 2-day Option for more information. There are extra fees that must be paid to join that option.
Where is this amazing event being held? We’ll be riding all over the area, but we’ll be basing our operations out of the Maverick Ranch RV Park that is part of the Lajitas Golf Resort and Spa.
Where can I reserve my camping/RV Space? Contact Lajitas for all that info.

What is the water situation at the RV Park and on the trails? There will be some support and emergency refill water available on all the rides in the State Park and on the Lajitas Property. There is utility water at the RV Park for people that are staying there. Folks should bring their own supplies of drinking water and more can be purchased at the Lajitas Store (which is open again, now).
Do I need a passport to attend this event? No. Not unless you are not a U.S. Cititzen, and then you should bring you Passport as you will need it to cross through the Border Patrol Checkpoints on your way home.
When is the race? This is not a race … just all the fun that goes with it! Fun Rides. Fun Afternoons. Fun Evenings. Fun EPIC riding!
