The CourseIt takes an army of volunteers to get the MasOMenos course into race-shape every year. Here's a few shots of the crews. Click here to have a look at more Photos from 2008.
Welcome to the most excellent 2009 Starlight Theatre Mas O Menos 100K Course. It is composed of lots of the terrific LAJITAS Resort & Spa Trail System and more bits of singletrack and jeep roads to enchant the most jaded biker. One fabulous 50k loop! Ride it twice as the 100k Marathon to truly test your mettle against the best the desert has to offer; or just one time around for the Half Marathon; or take the shortcut across the road at the Lajitas International Airport for a kickin' 30k. Every lap starts at the CASI site and continues southward (across the highway [FM170]) and clockwise around the course, through the best parts of the Lajitas Resort and Spa trails, back across the highway, up the Tres Cuevas climb, around the back of California Hill and back down into the CASI site. The trail is rough and rocky with more than enough obstacles to challenge all comers. Oh, and there is a lot of climbing. Check out the profile below to see just how much. 100k riders will complete two laps of the entire course. [Yes, that means that if you are riding the 100k you will climb Tres Cuevas TWICE.] 50k riders will do one lap and 30k riders will short-cut to the north side at the Airport Trailhead. Below is the profile of ONE LAP. There are water stations and open feedzones distributed throughout the course. The Open feedzones are located at the CASI site and the highway crossing. Folks can have helpers in the feedzone to hand-up their supplies or they may get off their bikes to access supplies stashed in the feedzone. Desert Sports is not responsible for any lost or stolen items left in the feedzone. Water is available as well at water stations.
