February 2009 the world famous Chili Appreciation Society International site near Terlingua, Texas, hosted hundreds of riding, racing, eating and dancing fools late into the evening. On Thursday and Friday we rode our hearts out under the big blue sky, including the most excellent trails of the LAJITAS Resort & Spa, Then after the Marathon we grooved away our race stiffness dancing around the bonfire to the funky beats of the Pinche Gringos.

We gave away a Nirve Cruiser, two RockShox forks and over $1500 worth of merchandise as RAFFLE PRIZES ... and a FOX SL100 fork on the starry-skied DANCEFLOOR and in total almost $20,000 worth of cash and prizes to all the fabulous MasOMenos winners and racers. The Starlight Theatre brought us the Austin Bike Zoo and the fabulous Desert Rattle Snake Bike, all lit up in the infield with the bike butterfly all fluttering around. And for once, the weather was perfect! Which was a small concession to the fact that Tres Cuevas was truly a monster this year. But we had too much fun to even notice ... right?
