Making Tour Reservations

Our friendly, helpful staff will ask all the right questions and answer any questions you may have.
Give us a toll-free call at 1-888-989-6900 or contact us online to start your reservation. A deposit of 50% of your tour cost subtotal is all that’s required to hold your space on your next Big Bend Adventure. Your balance is charged one week prior to your trip departure.
We accept the following major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or you may send us a personal check or cashier’s check.
After completing the reservation, we will send you a confirmation along with other information, such as a personal gear list and a local services listing.
Custom Trips – Does your group have a particular interest? We will be happy to put together a custom trip just for you. We welcome families and have trips that will appeal to young and old alike. Desert Sports is particularly proud of giving small groups an unforgettable wilderness experience.
Featured Trips – We have set fall and spring dates for some of our favorite trips. This will help folks who are traveling solo or groups that don’t meet the minimum number. You’ll also get the group price based on the final number of participants. At 30 days out, if there are not enough bookings for the trip, then we will need to cancel the dates. You’ll get a full refund on your deposit or a chance to book a different trip.
Provisions – Desert Sports provides everything you need for your tour. Included in our prices are meals, gear, and qualified, experienced guides. Not included in the prices are sales tax and Big Bend National Park fees. Many people bring their own sleep kits (sleeping bag and pad) and/or mountain bikes. If you need any of these items, we have them available for rent. For mountain bike rentals, let us to know your inseam and/or height so that we can reserve the right size bike for you.
Discounts – Groups of 8 or more receive a 10% discount.
Guided Trip Cancellation Policy – Cancellations made more than four weeks prior to tour departure forfeit 50% of trip deposit. If cancellations are made four weeks to one week prior to tour departure, then 100% of trip deposit is forfeited. If cancellations are made less than one week prior to tour departure, you are charged total balance of the tour cost. For cancellations made 24 hours prior to tour departure or for ‘no shows’, you are charged 100% of total tour cost with no opportunity to reschedule.
Cancellations must be made in writing.
Reschedule Option: Your cancellation fees—less a $100 handling fee—may be applied to a rescheduled tour within one year of your original departure date. Reservations for a rescheduled tour need to be confirmed within six months of your original tour departure date.
Desert Sports reserves the right to cancel any trip due to low enrollment or unforeseen circumstances with a no-hassle FULL refund or another booking, your choice.
